The life styling approach to organization focuses on identifying solutions that work for your family. It’s not about turning your home upside down or forcing systems that won’t be used once our sessions together are complete. How it works:
INITIAL CONSULTATION
We’ll speak over the phone to review your objectives and priorities. During this consultation, we’ll discuss how you live, how you want to live, and how life styling can help. There is no charge for this exploratory call.
LIFE STYLING
I come to your home and we get to work. There is no need to clean up or buy any “organizational” products in advance of my visit. In fact, it helps for me to see how your household runs on a day-to-day basis. We’ll evaluate your space, your belongings, and your routines, as well as the tools you already have that we can leverage to organize your home in a new way. Working together, we begin the organization process – sorting out what to keep from what to sell, what to donate, and what to trash. We find homes for paper, drawers for knick knacks, and shelves for keepsakes. And, we design systems and routines that support daily commitments already in your schedule while leaving flexibility for new things that come into your life. Most importantly, we’ll put you on a path toward tackling the rest of the cabinets, boxes, closets, or house more efficiently on your own.
Life styling packages are customized to your needs – shorter sessions for the do-it yourselfers who just need direction getting on the right path, longer sessions for those short on time or in greater need. Our work together can focus on a single room or address the entire house!
REFRESHER
In need of a pick-me-up? Shorter sessions are available to revisit a space we’ve already organized or to apply similar styling to another room.
BOXES AND SHOWINGS
Planning a move to your next organized space? Staging your home can be more than just an exercise in hiding toys and trashing old papers. Let me help make your realtor happy and your move easier when we style specifically for a move. We’ll strategically sort, organize, and pack – beautifying your space for an open house and making it easy put back that way in a moment’s notice for a last-minute showing. Plus, we’ll set you up for an easy pack and move to your new home.
DESIGN TO LIVE
Redecorating for a fresh look? I regularly work with interior decorators and designers to ensure your organizational systems work within their vision for your new décor. These consultations are typically short, focused sessions to ensure everyone’s goals are achieved without comprising your life style.
